Installation and removal of equipment used in Nebraska State Patrol vehicles. This includes but is not limited to: two-way radios, vehicular repeaters, sirens, speakers, equipment mounting consoles, decals, etc., and other supporting equipment and systems used by the Nebraska State Patrol.
Starting Salary: $18.69 per hour
As part of the Concealed Handgun permits team, you will process initial and renewal concealed handgun permit (CHP) applications. This includes determining eligibility for the permit by reviewing criminal history record information for potential disqualifiers, corresponding with applicants and various criminal justice agencies, issuing permits and refunds as appropriate.
Starting Salary: $16.33 per hour
Work extensively with the Nebraska Records and Management System (NRAMS) by being a committed member of the NRAMS support team. Assist with of the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) monthly validations and reporting to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) through the Nebraska Crime Commission. Assist as needed with records management projects and research. Assist NSP officers and administrative personnel with the management of NRAMS records. Assist the NSP, law enforcement, governmental and military agencies as well as the general public with records management.
Starting Salary: $15.19 per hour
Plans and participates in the grant management process for the NCHIP, NARIP, and SOR grants. This includes assisting in the application of funds, monitoring the grants after they are awarded, preparing any proposed necessary adjustments or modifications to the existing award, and ongoing budgeting of funds.

As a QAIP (Quality Assurance and Improvement Program) Program Manager you will be empowered to lead the team responsible for assisting our local criminal justice partners make improvements to their criminal records processes and making sure that the right information gets to the right places. Conduct trainings, participate in criminal justice conferences, partner one-on-one with agency staff, and use every other tool in our toolkit to make criminal records in Nebraska as prompt and accurate as possible.
Starting Salary: $24.75 per hour
Act as a representative of the agency to the public by assisting customers and handling phone calls regarding the fingerprinting processes with Livescan and ink, Concealed Handgun Permits, explosives permits, and criminal history background check processes. Collect and verify information, data entry, and capture fingerprints of customers requesting permits, criminal history requests, Sex Offender Registry, and background checks for other appointment types on a daily basis.
Starting Salary: $15.19 per hour
As a member of the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab team, forensic scientists participate in a variety of scientific activities including screening of biological evidence (serology) and/or forensic DNA testing, expert witness testimony, and training for law enforcement, medical personnel, and the general public. Interaction with attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and other government and private crime laboratories gives Nebraska State Patrol forensic scientists a broad spectrum of criminal justice experience.
